Field Trips:

July 2009:

GEOCOMP had arranged a field trip to West Sinai (Egypt) for the exploration staff of the Arabian Oil Company (Japanese Company) in order to explore the outcrops of the Eocene – Miocene sequences in the Gulf of Suez area. The main target of the trip was to throw more light on the source of Nukhul sand (paleoenvironment with current directions), Characters of the Thebes carbonate (fraction identification, direction, frequency …) for more understanding of the nearby subsurface reservoirs.
